Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is a 56 bedded hospital and is part of the Priory Group, leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services and is a principle provider to the NHS in the north of England, focussing on positive holistic outcomes through full service provision

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and enthusiastic multi disciplinary team working across our adult inpatient services. We are ideally looking for someone with some experience of working with these client groups both individually and in groups with a range of complex presentations in an inpatient setting.

Applicants will be required to:

Provide consultation and assistance to the lead consultant regarding the therapeutic programme on the unit

Engage the patients on the unit in helpful, therapeutic and meaningful activity.

Manage and co-ordinate individual treatment plans for occupational therapy and activities

Provide 1:1 OT assessment and treatment

Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards specifically regarding risk assessment.

Provide excellent oral and written communication and possess exceptional organisational skills.
