Job Advert Role Description
Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City Centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with very good local public transport links.
The hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute care for adults aged 18 – 25, psychiatric intensive care for adults aged 18 -65 years, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specialist Eating Disorder (including day care) and private acute and addictions treatment programmes. Our multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.
An exciting opportunity has risen for a Registered Practitioner Psychologist.
You will be delivering 1-1 and group therapy to inpatients and outpatients. As part of an MDT you will be working alongside other therapists with a range of modalities, Consultant Psychiatrist, Ward Doctors and Nursing staff.
You will also be providing one to ones to patients with a variety of presentations. The successful applicant will support across the acute adult ward and our male PICU ward with psychology provision through formulations, psychometrics and assessments.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team of therapists providing a full and robust treatment programme. Experience in formulations and assessing is essential with knowledge in psychometrics desired.
You will need to have full membership with relevant governing bodies such as HCPC, BPS or equivalent.
