Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital East Midlands is looking for a Cook/Chef to join the team. 

Priory Hospital East Midlands is comprised of:

  • Littlemore Ward - female psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU)
  • Barton Ward - an acute ward for females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and personality disorders

The service will be dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care, which will enable patient’s recovery and re-engagement with the community.

The Role

Unlike a lot of Catering roles this is NOT split shifts, nor is it evening work.

Our Chefs typically work 7am-3pm / 8am-4pm and we require you to work 5 out of 7 days, so weekends are included. This meets the need of the service and also give you a better work life balance.  

  • Undertakes the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.
  • Ensuring operational standards comply with the company’s Food Safety policies and guidelines and statutory regulations.
