Responding to the needs of the services in respect of preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and building projects and repairs in all facilities with due regard for the safety of patients, staff and public.

Kemple View is a hospital with 6 wards including Low Secure and Locked Rehab for male service users only.

Many of our patients have previously been in high, medium or low security. We aim to work collaboratively with our patients enabling them to take increasing responsibility for managing their own risks leading to a controlled and graded discharge. Where a patient requires greatest support we offer contextual risk management, enhancing compliance and aim to improve their quality of life. We serve the patient, carers and visitors.

Kemple View also has a dedicated and purpose-built ward offering Low Secure Forensic Specialist Older Age service for patients over the age of 50.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic maintenance team within a CQC rated OUTSTANDING hospital. 

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.  You will work as part of the maintenance team and work closely with all disciplines at Kemple View, patients and contractors. The main duties of the role are day-to-day general maintenance tasks including basic building, plumbing, joinery and electrical works to ensure we maintain a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment.

Maintenance Assistants cover out of hours on-call on a weekly basis, currently 1 week in 3.

Qualifications required are 4 GCSEs or equivalent (including English).

Experience of building, plumbing, electrical and joinery would be an advantage but not essential.

The successful candidate will be joining a multi-award winning team at Kemple View.

CQC visit 2019

In the recent CQC visit, Kemple View was rated ‘outstanding’ for the second time in a row. Kemple View received this rating in all the five assessments: “are we safe”, “effective”, “caring”, “responsive” and “well led”. This is an incredible achievement for Team KV and we are all extremely proud.

National Workforce Awards 2019

The hospital Director nominated the working well group for the “Best Well-being and Staff Engagement Initiative”. The team were short listed and 10 employees travelled to London for the Awards evening. The team didn't win but it was an amazing recognition.

Site of the Year 2019

After an exciting year Kemple View won the site of the year award at the recent Priory Group pride awards. Teams from all over the country and Middle East came together for prestigious award ceremony and we are happy to say we walked away with the trophy.
