Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Dewsbury is a  32 bed locked psychiatric service. Comprising of one 16 bed male Dementia Ward with patient who have behaviours that challenge and one 16 bed male Recovery & Rehabilitation that supports men with mental health disorders

As a Maintenance Assistant your primary duty will be to ensure that our service users reside in a hospital that is a safe environment for them that adheres to health and safety standards. You will need to work closely with the Head of Facilities to ensure that all fixtures and fittings are in excellent condition and equipment is regularly serviced. Duties will include:

Ensuring the hospital is maintained as a safe and secure place to live for the residents

Maintaining the hospital and grounds to ensure they are in excellent condition at all times

Work closely with the Head of facilities on long term maintenance plans

Check and repair fixtures and fittings that may include lighting and heating

The safety and security of our residents is at the forefront of what we do, so by ensuring the hospital is safe and properly maintained is of utmost importance.
