Job Advert Role Description

We are currently looking to grow our established team of Bank Care Assistants at Orchid Lawns in Steppingley, Bedfordshire. 

Orchid Lawns is a 24 bedded care home designed for older people with dementia. The home provides a specialist dementia nursing service, working in partnership with Central Bedfordshire PCT and Local Authorities. Situated in Steppingley, Bedfordshire the home offers a supportive environment with en-suite bedrooms and comfortable lounge areas. Our dedicated team ensure we meet the resident’s individual care and social needs.

You will be required to assist in all aspects of care and make sure that clients retain their dignity and individuality, ensuring they are comfortable at all times.

You must have

• A genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience within the Care Sector

You will be required to support and care for all to a high standard. This will include personal care such as dressing, undressing, toileting, feeding and all other daily duties.

You will be required to monitor client's health and report any deterioration to senior members of staff. You may check on residents at regular intervals as requested by the care home.

You will make sure that rooms are clean and beds are made and be involved in all aspects of care to ensure that client's needs are met.
