Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?

We are currently looking for a Team Leader/Senior Support Worker to provide 24/7 specialist residential support for individuals with mental health diagnosis at Priory Adult Care’s Yew Tree Lodge in Reading Berkshire.

Yew Tree Lodge provides specialist residential support for 16 male and female adults with enduring mental health needs. We place great importance on outcomes and quality of life, looking at what can be achieved for each resident, their abilities, interests and needs. We work within a positive environment to encourage confidence, bring structure, inclusion and opportunity in their lives.

You will be need to show demonstrable evidence of supervising staff in the effective co-ordination and provide care, assistance and support to residents in order to enhance their well-being while promoting independent living. The role holder is expected to have some experience of managing difficult and complex situations. The role holder needs to evidence a good understanding of mental health and CQC regulations

The role holder plans, organises, supervises and evaluates the work of residential support staff which will require appropriate skills when responding to resourcing issues and some creative thinking when planning and co-ordinating social and/or recreational activities.
