Job Advert Role Description

We are currently looking for a Bank Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Willows Mountain Ash!

Willows mountain ash is a 46 bed older person home that supports the needs of residents with mental health and dementia. The home has a main kitchen which prepares and serves freshly made meals 7 days a week.

As a Kitchen assistant you will be line managed by the head chef and will be part of a stable catering team. We are looking for a candidate that also has cooking experience and can act up into the role of cook to cover annual leave and short term sickness. Full induction and training will be provided at the home and whilst on shift once induction is completed and will be supported by catering staff in the kitchen.

General duties include preparation of food and ensuring the kitchen works to a high standard of cleanliness.

  • Flexible with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
  • An appreciation of basic food hygiene
