About Us:

Set back within 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens, the tranquil environment of the Priory Hospital Southampton offers therapeutic and recovery focused residential treatment as well as day care and outpatient services.

Priory Hospital Southampton currently has 2 Acute Wards which the successful candidate will be based. We also have an Eating Disorder Ward.

We have a highly experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which include consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists

From education to hospitals, care homes and secure facilities, the Priory Group of Companies offers individually tailored, multidisciplinary treatment programmes for those with complex educational needs or requiring acute, long-term and respite mental healthcare.

Job Advert Role Description

Outline of the Role

The successful applicant will be patient centred and have the clinical ability to provide a high quality evidence based service, and the management skills to support the Ward Manager and the multi-disciplinary team.

You will need to be a confident and effective leader who is motivated, dynamic and have a good working knowledge in mental health.

A Charge Nurse will need to take an active role in management of the ward/unit and take charge in the absence of the ward manager. they will also need to participate fully with the clinical team and undertake direct patient care.

The post holder must be an experienced RMN with at least 2 years post registration.
