Set within landscaped gardens, the safe and supportive environment of the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for service users with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community.

Are you looking for a rewarding role helping patients with a variety of complex needs?
We have a vacancy for a full-time Occuaptional Therapist to join our team at Cheadle Royal. This role is split equally across both of our male psychiatric intensive care units, Featherstone and Willows. Each 10 bed ward has a hardworking and dedicated team providing care to patients who have complex presentations and dual diagnoses.
In each service the successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide a well-rounded, personalised approach to each patients care.
The role is made up of the below responsbilities:
- Providing assessment and treatment of a designated case load within the frame work of an established rehabilitation programme.
- Applying patient-centred principles to assessment, intervention and evaluation.
- Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy process in line with sound evidence-based practice.
- Participation in MDT, CPA, case conferences, referral meetings and nursing handover.
- Ongoing development of skills and knowledge, through participation in CPD and Professional Development Planning.
- Line-management and supervision of two Technical Instructors.
The successful candidate will also be expected to abide by the College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and the College of Occupational Therapy Professional Standards for Practice.
For this role the below is required:
Holds a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy together with full RCOT membership and HCPC registration.
Experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment.
Experience managing a caseload of service users with complex needs
