Priory Hospital Dewsbury is looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Older Adults. Based in Earlsheaton, Dewsbury. Part Time or Full Time Considered. Competitive salary and package.
Priory Hospital Dewsbury is a 32 Bedded Hospital that spans 2 distinct services. Hartley Ward is a 16 bedded Mental Health High Dependency Rehabilitation Service. Jubilee Ward is a 16 bedded all male Specialist Dementia Service. Each service has a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who performs the duties of Responsible Clinician.
The available post is for Jubilee Ward (16 bedded Specialist Dementia Service).
An excellent opportunity for somebody looking to join an established team caring for a group of patients with Dementia. Jubilee ward is a 16 bedded male unit which provides a therapeutic environment for men with dementia. Most patients are under MHA and exhibit behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. The Consultant will work closely with other experienced members of the MDT. The post would be suitable for an Older Adult Consultant Psychiatrist or a General Adult Psychiatrist, with experience in management of dementia.
Physical health input is provided by the on-site Specialist Physical Health Nurse and visiting GP.
There is full admin support.
What you need to apply.
- Ability to fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician
- You must hold a CCT, or equivalent, in Older Adult Psychiatry, or hold a CCT (or equivalent) in General Adult Psychiatry and have extensive older adult experience.
- Meet regulatory requirements, such as GMC registration and revalidation.
- The role will include participation in our non-residential on call rota
