Priory Hospital Woodbourne are recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient quality care on a male psychiatric intensive care ward.
Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with very good local public transport links.
The hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specialist Eating Disorder and private acute and addictions treatment programmes. Our multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.
We have 5 beds allocated to our Partnership with Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB) and 5 beds which take referrals from all over the UK. Most of our referrals come directly from the community, either from Place of Safety, A&E or police custody. We also take referrals from other wards when service users may present as challenging.
You will have delegated responsibility for the care of the patient group as well as being the nurse in charge.
The service will be dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care, which will enable patient’s recovery and re-engagement with the community.
You will demonstrate
- Deliver high quality, service users focused care
- Participate in the development of new services and care pathways
- Support the local implementation of the Group Nursing Strategy
- Engage in continuous quality improvement within your service
You will have
- An active NMC PIN as a RMN or RNLD with 12 months post qualifying experience
- Relevant clinical experience
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
- Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
- Excellent verbal , interpersonal and written communication skills

Our shift patterns are
Day shifts 7:30am to 8pm
Start and end time for night shifts 7.30pm to 8am
