Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to grow our catering team and require an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant. You will assist in preparing and cooking locally sourced food to meet our resident’s range of dietary needs. You’ll be part of a hands-on team so you’ll also help to keep the kitchen and front of house clean at all times, whilst supporting health and hygiene requirements and stock rotation/control. You will be required to work 5 shifts over a 7 day period, some weekends will be required. Ideally you will have some experience in working within a busy kitchen environment, thrive under pressure and enjoy being busy. You’ll need to be reliable, positive and take pride in your work. Full training in this role and an online training programme will be offered to the successful applicant.

As part of the Support Services team, our Catering Assistants deliver a high quality service to our service users through the creation, presentation and delivery of meals. In line with the company’s catering policies and procedures, the successful candidate will support the provision of the catering operation, assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene. A capable and reliable team player, you will need to be able to successfully manage pressurized situations with exceptional customer service.
