Job Advert Location Description

Priory Group is one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down care across the UK. With hospitals around the country, many years of experience and highly experienced teams, we help patients and commissioners find the right care pathways, without the need for multiple reassessments.

Llanarth Court Hospital has built a strong reputation over almost 30 years for providing high quality care in secure conditions, offering a range of therapeutic and leisure opportunities, and making full use of its extensive grounds. The hospital has 96 beds across 7 wards with male and female medium secure, and male low secure and rehabilitation wards.  There are plans to upgrade the facilities, with a new purpose-built accommodation block and improvements to the existing patient accommodation.

Job Advert Role Description

A vacancy has arisen for a full-time Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist,  The role is based at Llanarth Court Hospital. The final details of the responsibilities will be agreed at the time of appointment but the job is likely to consist of providing medical care and leadership for a 20-bed low secure male ward.

The hospital has a well-established system of clinical governance and a quality improvement programme. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the clinical governance programme on their ward and to participate in clinical governance at a hospital level.
