We are currently looking for Lead Occupational Therapist (Full and Part Time available) to work within a wide multi-disciplinary team within a fantastic hospital based in Bartle, Preston.

Priory Hospital Preston is a 38-bedded independent mental health hospital, specialising in the management and treatment of acute mental ill health and eating disorders. Opened in 1998, the hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of services delivered across three units:
Bartle Ward – 10-bedded eating disorders
Cottam Ward – 12-bedded acute mental health
Rosemary Ward – 16-bedded acute mental health
You will work closely with the Eating Disorder Therapy Lead/Ward Manager in developing comprehensive Therapeutic programmes in line with the service line standards across the hospital, covering both eating disorder and acute services. As Lead Occupational Therapist you will have management responsibility for junior staff within the therapy team.
Consequently, a team approach to working is essential, excellent communication skills with both colleagues and patients is essential within this role.
The successful candidate must show excellent skills of independent working, pro activity and organisation. Key aspects of the role will include the facilitation of therapeutic groups, supporting patients via internal referral in 1:1 sessions, and liaison with community agencies.
Candidates will ideally have 2 years qualified experience. A degree of weekend working is preferable however this would be negotiable.
We will offer you a salary of up to £38,000 based on your skills and experience PLUS £3000 Welcome Bonus .
