Job Advert Role Description

Knowing that you’re making a difference to people’s lives is rewarding in itself. But our many roles offer much more than that. As well as helping you grow and develop your talent, we want you to feel proud of where you work and what you do.

We don’t just talk about putting employees first. We know that Priory wouldn’t exist without the combined effort and expertise of all disciplines.

Priory Hospital Cardiff are recruiting for General Administrators to join our team.

Priory Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes accomodation for 4 patients and a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, patient practice kitchens, patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas.

The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced mutli-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress.

We are looking for organised, motivated and friendly individuals to join our team on a permanent basis. As the first point of contact for the hospital this is an interesting and varied role, incorporating a wide range of duties to ensure an efficient service to our patients and wider on-site team. The reception area will be manned 7 days a week, as such the role will involve structured weekday and weekend working. Shift times will be 7am – 7pm (inclusive of a 1.15 hour break). Shift pattern will include four shifts one week and three shifts the following week, on a rolling rota. This includes working every other weekend.

Previous experience in a reception or administration role is preferred but not essential.

The ideal candidate will possess great written and verbal communication skills and feel confident speaking and engaging with a wide variety of people, while also having the ability to demonstrate high levels of empathy and confidentiality. At times, this can be a very busy role so this position would suit someone who is able to prioritise, multi task and remain calm under pressure.

Although not essential, IT literacy is preferred with a good understanding of programmes such as Word, Excel, Outlook and the use of Outlook Calendar.

We want you to flourish in your new role so training on this will be provided.

Benefits of working for us include 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and birthday leave, contributory pension scheme, comprehensive induction programme and computerised training programme, on-going access to supervision and access to occupational health services.

Due to limits on sponsorship allocations, we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review.
