Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a Team Leader to join us at Bromyard Road, your role will be to assist the Manager, Deputy Manager of the Service, working as part of a multi disciplinary team. To provide a professional, high quality service that enables service users to achieve their aspirations and goals through empowerment and putting the service user at the centre of all we do, ensuring safety at all times. To assist with the management and supervision of the staff team.

Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and/or Mental Health Act along with information relating to the national guidance would be of benefit but is not mandatory as training will be provided.

Good listening skills and a non-judgemental approach is essential. 

The service is an all-female service, registered to provide accommodation for up to six adults with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties whose recovery has progressed to the point where they are ready to return to living in a community setting. Our staff receive ongoing specialist training which includes areas of schizophrenia, personality disorder and depression. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone. We focus on developing life skills and rebuilding confidence, enabling everyone to progress into independent living at a pace that suits them. Everyone is actively supported to care for themselves, to do their own cooking, housekeeping and manage their own medication. They are also supported to go shopping, using local transport and community services. Social inclusion is encouraged by enabling people to take part in a variety of community based activities and work placements, matched to their interests and hobbies. All of the care planning is person-centred which allows people to identify personal goals and needs and to decide how best to meet these. The support we provide is delivered as part of a multi-disciplinary team and is designed according to individual needs.
