Job Advert Role Description

The role is for a Registered Nurse, with experience in working with Adults with Learning Disability.  They would be the Unit Manager, working alongside the other Nurses and the Support Workers.  Their role would entail the day to day running of the Unit, along with management of duty rotas and auditing and governance, as well as the daily lead when on shift.  the role would entail being an advocate for the residents needs and ensuring that the care is provided to the highest standard.

As a Registered Nurse (RGN) you will be responsible for the care of our service users. Apple Mews care home is located in Armagh, the site has 30 service users, split up into small household bungalows each with 5/6 residents, suffering from high dependency learning disabilities. This small group environment offers our nurses a genuine opportunity to take the theory of relationship centred practice from the text book, and put it into practice, so truly individualised care becomes reality. You will be at the forefront of providing a first class service where you make a difference to everyone you support.

As a Registered Nurse (RGN) you will:

• Hold a current NMC pin number and be RGN qualified
• Knowledge and experience with administering medication safely
• Be confident in creating and updating individualised care plans and documentation
• Deliver hands on nursing care to ensure the well-being and health of our residents
• Have an excellent understanding of the standards set by CQC
