Priory Wellbeing Centre Canterbury is conveniently situated right in the heart of Canterbury’s city centre, offering easy access to all. Our expert team are able to deliver established outpatient treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, addictions and eating disorders. We provide high quality support to adults, young people, couples and families, offering practical, effective help to all of our service users. Priory Canterbury Outpatient Clinic is a long standing Wellbeing Centre working as part of The Priory Group’s Private Healthcare division. Canterbury Priory sees a high percentage of corporate and PMI referrals which brings an array of presentations and treatment requirements. Our team of therapists, and consultant psychiatrists allow us to offer a multidisciplinary approach for our clients ensuring a high standard of care. Our goal is to always treat the individual and ensure we support our clients on their personal journey.


Due to the increase in demand for mental health support we are currently looking to expand our team of skilled and experienced clinicians to provide individual and/or group therapy and expand our clinical leadership team.



Priory are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Clinical Lead for the Canterbury Wellbeing Centre to join our team of highly experienced Therapy and Psychiatry team to provide their therapy expertise and clinical leadership in conjunction with our Operations team. 


This role will allow you to continue to practice in your clinician role in holding a caseload while also applying your leadership skills, experiences and interests to enhance and develop the clinical services offerings and governance provided at the Wellbeing Centre.

The Priory Group have a selection of Priory Wellbeing Centres across the UK offering exceptional outpatient treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders and addictions, as well as a dedicated young people’s service. This role will also have a strong link with the clinical leads of the other Wellbeing Centres, allow for great clinical support as well as collaborative clinical innovation work.


We are looking for an experienced clinical leader with strong evidence based training and knowledge acquired in an acute mental health setting. You will either be a HCPC registered psychologist, or BABCP / BACP Accredited. We would also consider NCS and or UKCP, and we would also welcome a discussion if you are in the process of working towards your accreditation.

To apply you must have the following, 


  • You must be a qualified and experienced therapist or psychologist who is either HCPC Registered or accredited (or working towards) with the BACP or BABCP. We will also consider NCS and or UKCP.
  • As a minimum, hold a level 5 post graduate Diploma in CBT.
  • Holding a supervisor qualification is desirable
