Job Advert Role Description

Stroud Residential Eating Disorders Service is a specialist residential service providing medium to long-term support and treatment for young peeople and young adults (aged 17-25) suffering from eating disorders and other associated complex mental health difficulties.

The role is based at Althea Park House, a 7 bedded home for young adults (17-25). We also have The Anchor, a 3 bedded semi-independnent step-down home (18+) on the Althea Park House site.

This role allows an opporunity to build longer term, meaningful therapuetic relationships and use them to support people to affect change. We are fortunate to be able to do this in warm, homely environments, within the beautiful Stroud Valleys, in Gloucerstershire.

Our therapetic model focuses on supporting our service users to build a life outside of the confines of their eating disorder or indeed, mental illness. We work hard to support those that live in our homes, to build their own resiliance, sense of self and ability to connect with the world around them.

The role is primarily concerned being a good leader. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dynamic, assertive and will be able to develop a sense of ownership over the work that they do.

The role involves shift coordination, montoring, developing and supervising junior colleagues and supporting the team to follow care plans and risk assessments.

Experience working within Eating Disorders is ideal, but not a requirement. We are keen to recruit the right person most of all.

We work 7.5 hour shifts, across 7 days.

 Early shift: 7.30am-3.30pm

Late shift: 2.30pm-10.3pm

Waking Night shift: 10pm-8am

 (Long days also available).
