Job Advert Role Description

We are currently seeking a qualified fitness instructor to support the wellbeing and recovery of inpatients admitted to our private and NHS acute mental health wards.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of a supportive team and will be required to offer sessions that support  patients with their mental health and wellbeing during their admission.

Activities may include general aerobic fitness sessions, boot camps, boxercise sessions, dance fitness sesssions, or other suitable cardio fitness sessions.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant fitness/coaching qualification, together with current DBS, safeguarding, and public liability insurance certificates.

Good communication skills, a flexible approach, and willingness to work with adults with varying fitness levels are all essential. Previous experience of working in a similar mental health setting is desirable.

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. The hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health issues both as inpatients and day patients.

Hayes Grove specialises in providing care for patients with acute mental health conditions, addiction issues - both drug and alcohol, and also has a specialist Eating Disorders unit. The hospital is situated close to excellent transport links to central London, Croydon, and Bromley areas and parking is available locally.
