Job Advert - Division Information

About Manor Clinic:

The Manor Clinic is a part of Priory Healthcare, offering a specialist inpatient addiction treatment programme. The clinic is located in Southampton and provides a multidisciplinary treatment approach focused on recovery principles.

Job Role:

Payment per call out:  £150 - £200 pounds per call  out, depending upon experiences

We are looking for doctors to join the medical team at Manor to offer medical input on a call-out basis. The usual call-outs would include clerking in new admissions and offering site visits to help support the Manor Clinic team with urgent medical or psychiatric issues.

The doctors would be part of the bank team for Manor Clinic and would have the option to specify their preferred days/weeks of work when they would like to offer the service. The role offers flexibility and additional income for doctors who would otherwise hold part-time/full-time employment or are doing independent section 12 work and are looking at ways of supplementing their regular income. We will also welcome applications from GPs who want flexibility and variation in their everyday work.

Manor Clinic is a small 13 bedded setting with a closely knit group of staff members. Our doctors working with us have been with us for many years and have enjoyed working as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team.

The appointed doctors would be able to access peer group and clinical forum based at Priory Hospital Southampton should they wish to do so. The Peer Group meets every two months, and there is bi-monthly clinical forum where complex clinical cases are discussed.

The unit has clinical input from three consultant psychiatrists. All inpatients are under the care of a consultant who is available for additional telephonic advice and support if needed.
