The Priory Hospital Preston is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health.  The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services.  The hospital currently has residential facilities for 38 inpatients. The Hospital provides Adult inpatient care across 2 Acute wards and 1 Eating Disorder ward. 

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Activities Co-ordinator within our Acute Mental Health services.  Key responsibilities will be to provide assistance to clinical staff with the planning, implementation and evaluation of social activities in order to improve mental, emotional well-being.  You will prepare and deliver group and individual recreational activities and set up weekly/ monthly activities programmes.

Hours will include weekends on a shift basis. The hours per day are negotiable and flexible and can be discussed at interview.

Suitable candidates will be qualified to NVQ 2 level.

Desirable: candidates to have a qualification/interest in physical exercise and fitness. Training can be provided.
