Are you someone that is passionate about Recruitment and Onboarding? We have an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join us on a 3 month Fixed Term contract. The ideal person will have previous experience in recruitment/onboarding to work with our regional teams to provide an efficient recruitment and Onboarding experience. This is a remote role and frequent travel will be required within our South East Region, therefore you will need to have access to a car. The Ideal candidate will live within the South East Region which covers Chesterfield/ Bedfordshire/ London/ Essex Norfolk down to Kent and Dover.

You will directly report to the Managing Director for the region who will set out strategic priorities for the role, with a dotted line to the Regional Talent Acquisitions Lead who will provide expertise support.

As this is a fixed term contract, we are looking for someone with energy and passion who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in the region.

Job Advert Role Description

You will be a clear and effective communicator focused on finding innovative local solutions to attraction challenges, reducing “time to hire” periods by recognising and overcoming barriers, and be driven to provide an excellent candidate experience. You will operate in a fast paced, quality driven environment and not be deterred from changing priorities according to staffing needs and management pressures within the region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Directly assist with resourcing and Onboarding processes for priority sites as dictated by stakeholders – with the primary aim of increasing attraction rates, reducing “time to hire”, vacancy numbers and agency spend at these sites.
  • Develop a range of innovative ways of locating suitable candidates and improving attraction for roles including electronic tools such as CV databases and social media
  • Lead and initiate activity in focused local markets to identify job opportunities including arranging and holding recruitment fairs and marketing activities.
  • Make direct contact with candidates – to sell opportunities within our services and encourage applications to convert to appointments.
  • Chase appropriate candidates who drop out of the process to encourage them to re- engage or to understand reasons for delays.
  • Provide clear communication to site leaders and candidates, and guide them through each stage of the process ensuring each understand what is required from them to progress with job offers. 
  • Flex your approach dependent on the needs of site leaders and candidates to overcome any barriers to Onboarding a candidate – including ensuring that correct and valid ID is captured; full employment history is recorded; references are promptly requested and chased as required etc.
  • Act as subject matter expert for the applicant tracking system and support managers to work to best practice guidelines.
  • Proactively advise site leaders when and how to conduct risk assessments to determine possible start dates.
  • Provide feedback to Talent Acquisition leads and Site Leaders of any barriers to recruitment, including site process issues and compliance shortfalls.
  • Build close relationships with the Onboarding team and support successfully interviewed candidates are made compliant as fast as possible.
  • Build close relationships with site leaders and members of the wider Resourcing teams to share successful practices and encourage ongoing collaboration.
