About us: Grafton Manor

Grafton Manor is a care home which has 25 beds across 4 units including inpatient rehabilitation, transitional rehabilitation and community houses. It can admit informal patients or those managed within Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

Priory Brain Injury Services (PBIS) provide specialised care pathways within the Priory for people with acquired brain injury (ABI). PBIS has been successfully delivering neurobehavioural rehabilitation and making a positive difference to people’s lives since 1985 to people with ABI, whose challenging behaviour prevents attainment of their maximum rehabilitation potential and personal autonomy.

Grafton Manor - Director of Clinical Services

An exciting opportunity has opened for a dynamic Director of Clinical Services to join our team here at Grafton Manor.
As the Director of Clinical Services (DoCS), you will be part of the Senior Management Team and working for one of UK’s leading health care providers. The DoCS will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills, manage a team of Staff Nurses, empowering them with strong leadership, skills and adequate resources for them to do their job. Manage Recruitment, Retention and Reward for all Clinical Staff.

Duties to include

  • Will play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital’s quality strategies, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team.
  • Oversee the management of nursing resources including out of hours on call arrangements are Controlled
  • Implementation of quality improvement and monitoring systems for the nurse Bank Service
  • Ensure delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators
  • Provide professional nursing advice on quality governance issues to nursing staff at site, promoting high standards of care and development of clinical practice.
  • Facilitate compliance with the company incident and serious incident policy and support staff in the investigation of serious incidents in line with company policy.
  • Support wards to prepare for Regulatory body inspections and Internal
  • Benchmarking and Health and Safety inspections.
  • Ensure all contractual quality elements are met, working with respective service lines including reporting of the same.
  • As part of the Senior Management, team will carry out on-call duties as directed by the Hospital Director
