Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, innovative and forward thinking individual to lead, manage and co-ordinate delivery of Occupational Therapy at the Hospital; ensuring the range and level of interventions, treatments and activities complies with statutory regulations, meets quality standards, and delivers against key performance indicators. Using evidence based and patient centred principles, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions which provide patients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.

To be considered you will need to have a relevant professional qualification, a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, full BAOT membership and HCPC membership/registration, experience in a rehabilitation setting and experience of working within mental health services. You will be very organised, positive, confident and an effective communicator. Previous supervisory/managerial experience for a group of staff will be an advantage as you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of more junior staff, one of whom is a student OT.

Benefits of working for us include 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a day off for your birthday, free parking, free meals on duty, contributory pension scheme, comprehensive induction programme and computerised training programme, excellent CPD opportunities, wellbeing initiatives including access to a free employee assistance programme, on-going access to supervision and occupational health services.
