Kneesworth House is a 155 bed mental health hospital situated in Cambridgeshire (on the borders of Hertfordshire) with good commuting access to / from London. The hospital has a full pathway of care including medium, low secure, locked rehabilitation and open recovery wards situated across the site.

We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join Priory Hospital Kneesworth, to deliver a high quality maintenance service within the hospital to assist the well-being, comfort and development of our patients. Working as part of the site’s Support Services team, this role offers plenty of variety and every day will be different but some duties will include:

  • Ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for staff and patients by providing a high level of maintenance and repair services to all areas.
  • Carrying out a range of tasks, tests and checks in a competent manner, complying with company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Deliver and maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the hospital, in line with operational standards and ensure that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
  • Ensure that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all hospital areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
  • Identifying and reporting damages, faults and other related issues to the maintenance department to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet our high quality standards and statutory regulations.
  • Use equipment efficiently.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and identity of patients residing at the hospital.
  • The role requires participation in an on-call rota system.
