With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.
Job Advert Location Description
Ogilvie Court offers a warm and homely environment for up to 28 adults who have a learning disability and challenging behaviour.
It is situated near the village of Earl Colne which has easy access to local shops and amenities. By car, it is within easy access to the A12, M11 and M25. Marks Tey Train station is approximately twenty minutes away has links into Central London Via Liverpool Street Station. Please note that Ogilvie Court's location means that it is preferable that you drive and have your own transport.
Based over 4 houses, each house has been adapted to provide facilities for individuals which includes specialist equipment for people with physical disabilities. All rooms are single occupancy and decorated to each person's choice. The service has three vehicles which are solely used to enable people to access local amenities and leisure and educational pursuits further a field. It has extensive grounds, with each house having their own garden with a patio and barbeque facilities together with a communal garden and a larger barbeque area for larger celebrations.
The care, treatment, developmental activities and educational support is delivered by a dedicated, professional and multi-disciplinary team of staff committed to providing truly person-centred support.
Job Advert Role Description
As a Senior Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. We are looking for caring individuals with a flair for leadership, who will also provide first level supervision to other support workers, and lead shifts, giving you the opportunity to really make your mark and positively influence your team.
Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital.
