Job Advert Role Description

Shaftesbury Mews is located in the Jordanstown area of Belfast, off the main road on the Antrim coastline. It offers residential and nursing support to 18 people, who are on the autism spectrum, or have a learning disability. The home can also support those with physical health needs and a brain injury.

We are looking for an experienced Home Manager to join our team. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing the team to ensure the delivery of high quality, person-centred care.
  • Overseeing the day-to day operations of the service, ensuring it meets all regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.
  • Ensuring full compliance with RQIA and other relevant bodies, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
  • Managing the service’s budget, ensuring financial viability while delivering outstanding care.
  • Promoting and maintaining a culture of safeguarding, ensuring all practices are in line with current legislation.
  • Working closely with the Multidisciplinary Team while developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Living and embodying our company values in every aspect of the role, setting the standard for the team and ensuring these values are reflected in the care we provide.

Essential:

  • Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a management role within the healthcare sector
  • Strong understanding of RQIA regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience with financial management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good level of IT skills
